Families in Trauma are an online video resource to support families undergoing different types of traumatic events.
Often families experiencing trauma feel isolated and alone, with no support whilst they try to navigate their experience. Family and friends have often never dealt with the type of trauma we may be experiencing and so a sense of isolation, anxiety, depression and various other problems can start to develop.
If it was possible to talk to someone else who has experienced a similar event, it would help, but too often this isnot possible, due to our friends having never experienced the trauma.
So Families in Trauma interview and video record various families and individuals who want to use their experience to help others. This will become available on our website and anyone can log in at any time of the day or night - without waiting for an appointment - and in the privacy of your own home.
This will create a video library resource for many individuals and organisations alike and can help bridge the gap whilst families may be waiting on support from other services. We also signpost to other organisations who may be able to help.
